Offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste may not be unemployed for long.

The New England Patriots released their former third-round draft pick last week, but the 6-foot-5 Cajuste is already garnering interest from NFL clubs, including the New York Jets

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported that Cajuste has visits lined up with the Jets on Monday followed by the New York Giants on Tuesday.

Should the Jets choose to sign the West Virginia product, they'll have someone who can compete for a reserve role at tackle. The 27-year old Cajuste appeared in 17 games, highlighted by five starts, over the past two seasons with the Pats.

The 2019 draft pick, who did not see regular season game action until 2021, likely frustrated Bill Belichick and Co. due to his lack of consistent availability. Cajuste spent 2019 on the non-football injury list. This past season, he landed on Injured Reserve for the month of October.

Cajuste, a former South Florida high school star, has logged 278 regular season snaps on offense during his NFL career.

His reported visit to the Jets comes on the first day of OTAs Phase 3. It also happens to be a somewhat tenuous time between team brass and oft-injured offensive tackle Mekhi Becton.

The Jets have six true offensive bookends on their current 90-man roster. Longtime veteran Duane Brown leads a group that includes Becton, 2022 draft pick Max Mitchell, recently-signed free agent Billy Turner, 2023 fourth-rounder Carter Warren and Greg Senat.

Jets' head coach Robert Saleh, who previously said that Becton must "go earn the left tackle" spot, has a media availability scheduled for Tuesday, May 23.
