Jets Will Face Battered Dolphins' Offensive Line, May Avoid Tyreek Hill

The injury bug has taken a noticeable bite out of the Miami Dolphins since their Black Friday win in the Meadowlands.
Set to host the rematch on December 17, the division-leading Dolphins will be missing two key offensive linemen and possibly their WR1 when the Jets visit Hard Rock Stadium in Week 15. While starting center Connor Williams was lost to a season-ending injury last time out, guard Robert Hunt is also unavailable for Sunday. All-Pro pass-catcher Tyreek Hill is officially listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
After suffering an ankle sprain during the Monday night loss to Tennessee, Hill did not practice this week.
"In theory, he would be able to practice if he didn't have the standard of practice that he has. Right now, we're just focused on getting it as healthy as possible, said Dolphins' head coach Mike McDaniel on Friday.
Hill, who was injured late in the first quarter, re-entered the game midway through the second half despite admittedly playing through pain. Injury expert Dr. David Chao, a former NFL team physician, suggested that the level of subsequent swelling would determine the receiver's availability against the Jets.
"He is in this building, what is that a 12-hour day of focusing on knowing everything to do and rehabbing? He's doing everything he can," said McDaniel. "I don't have a feeling as of yet. He'll be spending time rehabbing. We'll see what happens."
The Jets are preparing to see Hill on the field Sunday.
"Fully expecting him to play," said Jets' head coach Robert Saleh on Friday. "We’re operating as if he’s playing. If he doesn’t play, then they’ve got a whole host of track stars that can do it, not do what he does but still execute the offense the way it needs to be executed."
Hill went for 102 yards and one touchdown on nine catches in the Dolphins' 34-13 win over New York on November 24.
In other troubling injury news for the Dolphins, interior offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg is listed as questionable to play. AllDolphins insider Alain Poupart spotted Eichenberg, who missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, in a walking boot earlier this week.
Eichenberg, who filled in for Hunt at right guard last week, is expected to start at center with Williams unavailable. Left guard Lester Cotton is a candidate to play center should Eichenberg be unable to go.
The Jets (5-8) and the Dolphins (9-4) will kick off at 1:00 pm ET on Sunday.
