Green Bay Packers Training Camp - Practice 6 Highlights

Watch the tight ends, led by Jimmy Graham, go through drills at Green Bay Packers training camp on Wednesday. Among the drills, they get whacked by a swimming-pool noodle while trying to catch passes.
That group is led by Graham and Marcedes Lewis, two of the most experienced tight ends in the NFL. But Robert Tonyan is pressing for playing time, and a third-round pick was used on Jace Sternberger.
“I feel pretty good about the competition we have right there,” GM Brian Gutekunst said. “Obviously, drafting Jace; Tonyan, he has a chance and some opportunity in front of him. The one thing we talk about - we talk about this daily upstairs in the personnel room - whenever we can create more competition, we’re for it. I don’t think you can have enough, even if it’s kind of back to a Ron Wolf thing - once you get to a point where you don’t think a player might be good enough and you’re not sure the next guy is you want take a look at him and try and create more competition. We’ll always be of that mind-set.”
