Prop Bets: Panthers at Jaguars

Which Panthers bets make the most sense for their Week 17 tilt vs. the Jaguars?

Each week, I'll give a handful of prop bets or parlays pertaining to that week's Carolina Panthers game. I've already made my picks for the side and total for Carolina vs. Jacksonville, which you can view below.

Here are this week's prop bets and parlays (odds via FanDuel):

Bryce Young passing yards: Over 181.5

Young had the best game of his rookie season last week against Green Bay, completing 23-of-36 pass attempts for 312 yards and two touchdowns. Jacksonville ranks 29th against the pass, allowing over 257 yards per game. I'm not expecting another 300-yard performance, but getting over 181 seems pretty attainable.

First half spread: Panthers +2.5

With Trevor Lawrence out, I actually believe this is a game the Panthers can win. Interim head coach Chris Tabor emphasized getting out to a faster start collectively on all three sides of the ball and without 16 in at QB, there's a chance the Panthers could have the lead at the half or at worst, be tied.

Evan Engram reception: Over 5.5

With Troy Hill out, the Panthers are going to have to mix up what they do at nickel. They'll likely match up Jeremy Chinn on Engram but nonetheless, this is still a matchup that heavily favors the Jaguar tight end. Look for Beathard to check it down to Engram a handful of times while also throwing some balls up the seam for explosives.
