Bama Star Says Panthers Would Be 'Stupid' to Pass on Bryce Young
At this point, if the Panthers take someone other than Bryce Young with the first overall pick it would be a complete and utter shock. All signs point to the Alabama start being the next face of the organization despite his small stature, which is really the only red flag.
However, another Alabama star, safety Brian Branch, thinks the whole height talk about his teammate is ridiculous.
"Don't let that height fool you," Branch said during an interview with Andrew Siciliano on NFL Now. "Bryce is the greatest quarterback I've played against. He's got a feel for the game. He's elusive. He played in the SEC. So it's like, how does his height affect him? To me, that's nonsense. He'll show people at the next level what he's capable of."
When asked if he believes the Panthers will draft Young, he responded, "I believe if he don't, they're stupid."
Branch is also projected to be a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and is widely regarded as the top safety prospect in the class.
