Panthers Add DeAngelo Hall to Coaching Staff

Big time name enters the Panthers' building.

Want instant respect and credibility in a position coach who has no prior experience? Hire a three-time Pro Bowler.

That's what the Carolina Panthers did on Friday by agreeing to terms with DeAngelo Hall to be the team's assistant defensive backs coach. He'll work alongside Jonathan Cooley who is in charge of the secondary.

Hall has been wanting to crack into the coaching industry since he retired following the 2017 season but started out doing work in media.

During his 14 years in the league, Hall recorded 814 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 43 interceptions, 141 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and 15 fumble recoveries. He made the Pro Bowl in 2005, 2006, and 2010.
