Panthers Sign Deion Jones to 53-Man Roster

Carolina had two open spots on the 53-man roster and with linebacker Shaq Thompson on injured reserve, Panthers GM Scott Fitterer made the decision to sign LB Deion Jones to the active roster.
Jones joined the Panthers late in training camp but ended up being one of the surprise cuts in late August, but rejoined the Carolina practice squad a couple of weeks ago.
Jones spent six seasons in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons where he recorded 652 tackles, 46 tackles for loss, 44 pass breakups, 20 QB hits, 11 interceptions, 8.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles. He spent the 2022 season with the Cleveland Browns where he posted 44 tackles, six tackles for loss, three QB hits, and 2.5 sacks in 11 games (five starts).
