Reich Responds to Terrace Marshall's Request to Seek a Trade

Could the Panthers trade their former second-round pick?

Several players in the Carolina Panthers organization have been featured in mock trade proposals or have popped up in trade rumors over the last few weeks. Wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. and his agent, Vince Taylor, made it known that they would like a change of scenery.

Earlier this month, Marshall received permission from the Panthers' front office to seek a trade. Monday afternoon, Panthers head coach Frank Reich spoke on the matter.

"I think Terrace's agent approached Scott and said we'd like to explore. We talked it through and we have a lot of respect for Terrace and think Terrace is a good player. And at times, has played a significant role for us. But again, in the spirit of keeping all options open, Scott gave his agent permission to go ahead and see what was out there."

Marshall is seeking a more prominent role, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN but would be welcomed back if no trade partner is found. The former second-round draft pick out of LSU has logged 17 receptions for 123 yards this season and for his career, he has posted 62 receptions for 751 yards and a touchdown.
