Panthers Free Agent Target Mike Williams Signs with Jets

Carolina misses out on another weapon for Bryce Young.

Carolina has already made one big splash this offseason at the wide receiver position by trading for Diontae Johnson, but they're looking for more help.

This week, the Panthers were scheduled to host veteran free agent Mike Williams on a visit along with the Pittsburgh Steelers but after today's visit with the New York Jets, he's going to be canceling those plans. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Williams is signing a one-year, $15M deal with New York.

In his seven years with the Chargers, Williams reeled in 309 passes for 4,806 yards and 31 touchdowns.
