Panthers to Hire Will Harriger as QBs Coach

Dave Canales makes an addition to his coaching staff.

Will Harriger will be the next man tasked with the daily development of Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the former Dallas Cowboys offensive assistant has been hired as the Panthers' new quarterbacks coach.

Harriger got his start in coaching back in 2004 as a grad assistant at Division II Midwestern State. He remained on the defensive side of the ball until he made the jump to the NFL in 2014, joining the Seattle Seahawks staff as an offensive assistant before being promoted to assistant QBs coach, working alongside Dave Canales.

He spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons as a game management coordinator, but spent the final 12 weeks of the '20 season as the running backs coach. Harriger worked with Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville during 2021 and then moved on to USC to serve as a senior offensive analyst/assistant quarterbacks coach for a year before returning to the NFL with the Cowboys.
