Cowboys Crush Panthers, 33-10

In this story:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Another week, another disappointing result for the Carolina Panthers as they fell at home to the Dallas Cowboys, 33-10.
Penalties were a big issue for Carolina in the first half, helping Dallas to 10 of their 17 first half points. Donte Jackson was flagged for pass interference early in the second quarter and then three plays later, Xavier Woods was flagged for facemask and a horse collar tackle on the same play. Fortunately for Carolina, the Cowboys were held to just three.
The final two minutes were completely botched starting with the kickoff from Eddy Pineiro which trickled its way out of bounds, giving Dallas the ball at the 40. Amaré Barno was penalized for a late hit on Dak Prescott sliding to the ground and moments later, DeShawn Williams made a critical mistake shoving a player to the ground after a third down play, extending the drive. Prescott took advantage of the free set of downs and connected with CeeDee Lamb in the back corner of the end zone to push Dallas' lead to 17-3 at the break.
The Panthers cut the lead to seven thanks to a 17-play, 70-yard drive that ate up nearly nine minutes of the third quarter. Frank Reich leaned on the ground game for much of the possession, but Bryce Young finished it off with a four-yard touchdown pass to Tommy Tremble.
Just when the Panthers seemed like they would make it an interesting game, it all hit the fan. Tony Pollard carried multiple defenders on his back roughly seven yards into the end zone early in the fourth and then on the first play of the ensuing drive, Young was picked off by DaRon Bland who returned it for a touchdown, notching his fourth pick-six of the season.
Things continued to spiral out of control as Young was sacked on three consecutive plays, one of which resulted in a fumble. Dallas tacked on a field goal to extend the lead to 33-10.
Young was sacked seven times on the day and hit a total of 12 times.
