What the ESPN FPI Says About the Panthers' Chances Against the Seahawks

In this story:
Monday night was a hard one to watch for Carolina Panthers fans as the offense was limited to just 239 yards of total offense, 75 of which came on the final drive of the game when New Orleans dropped seven or eight in coverage.
Rookie quarterback Bryce Young had another tough outing as he was sacked four times and hit seven times. One of those sacks resulted in a lost fumble as the Panthers were in plus territory.
Unfortunately, things won't get any easier as the Panthers are set to travel across the country to play in one of the toughest environments in the NFL, Seattle. After a disappointing loss in Week 1 to the Rams, the Seahawks bounced back in a big way knocking off the Detroit Lions on the road in overtime.
According to the ESPN FPI, the Panthers have just a 27.3% chance to pick up their first win of the season while the Seahawks have a 72.5% chance to move to 2-1.
If Carolina wants to erase the goose egg in the win column, they're going to have to put the ball in the end zone and not settle for field goals. Sounds cliche, but field goals aren't going to get the job done against what is one of the best offenses in the league.
