Panthers Look to Interview Brad Idzik for Offensive Coordinator Position

As we mentioned earlier in the week, Tampa Bay wide receivers coach Brad Idzik would be a name to keep an eye on for the Panthers' offensive coordinator job. Friday afternoon, the Panthers officially put in a request to speak to Idzik about the position, according to JC Allen of Bucs Gameday.

Idzik entered the NFL coaching space in 2019 with the Seattle Seahawks as an assistant wide receivers coach and had a hand in the success of Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Lockett crossed the 1,000-yard mark in each of the four years Idzik spent in Seattle and set a franchise record in 2020 for most receptions in a season (100). Metcalf also set a franchise record that same season, racking up 1,303 receiving yards.

This past year with the Buccaneers, Idzik helped produce two 1,000-yard receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Statistically, the two notched the third-best totals of their respective careers.

2019-20: Assistant Wide Receivers Coach, Seattle Seahawks

2021: Offensive Quality Control/Assistant Quarterbacks Coach, Seattle Seahawks

2022: Assistant Wide Receivers Coach, Seattle Seahawks

2023: Wide Receivers Coach, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
