PJ Walker Released by the Chicago Bears

In this story:
Former Carolina Panthers quarterback PJ Walker was waived by the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
In three preseason games with the team, Walker completed just 11-of-23 passes for 96 yards, throwing one touchdown and interception a piece. His departure means the battle for the Bears backup job is now down to Tyson Bagent, an undrafted free agent out of Division II Shepherd (WV), and Nathan Peterman.
Walker spent the last three years with the Carolina Panthers, appearing in 15 games making seven starts. He won four of those seven starts and totaled 1,461 passing yards during his time in the Queen City. Walker completed only 57% of his pass attempts and threw just five touchdowns to eleven interceptions.
