Patriots Odds to Win 2025 Super Bowl: Lowest in NFL?

For two decades, the New England Patriots were Super Bowl contenders, if not favorites. Now, they're nearly scraping the bottom of the barrel entering Jerod Mayo's first offseason as head coach.

The New England Patriots played in nine Super Bowl's over a 17-year timespan, winning six titles and frequently dominating headlines.

This year, New England fits itself in a transitional period, one month removed from a dismal 4-13 campaign that resulted in head coach Bill Belichick's departure after 24 seasons.

Belichick's replacement, Jerod Mayo, has been tasked with the arduous task of bringing the Patriots back to February relevancy - but what are the odds he does so in Year 1?

Evidently, not high.

New England's longshot odds are +15000, meaning a $100 wager would net a winning bet $15,000. The Pats are tied with the Washington Commanders, Tennessee Titans and New York Giants for the second-worst odds of winning the Super Bowl in 2025, per FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Carolina Panthers have the worst odds at +25000. Only two other teams - the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos - have odds of +10000 or worse.

This year's Super Bowl contenders, the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, also have the best odds to win next season, coming in at +450 and +750, respectively.

New England's low odds come amidst two consecutive years without making the postseason, the most recent of which featured its fewest wins since 1992.

Several questions persist on Mayo and staff, headlined by the quarterback dilemma.

The Patriots currently have Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe and Nathan Rourke on the roster, none of which figure to be the desired Week 1 starter.

New England boasts the draft's No. 3 overall selection, and Mayo has hinted at using the pick on a signal caller - but USC's Caleb Williams and North Carolina's Drake Maye could both be off the board.

In essence, if the Patriots choose to pursue the rookie quarterback route, they may not get the player viewed as the draft's best option, which naturally decreases title odds.

Regardless, Mayo was brought in to revitalize an organization that's gone just 29-38 in the four years following Tom Brady's departure.

The trek to do exactly that starts this offseason - and it appears Mayo's facing quite the uphill climb to get New England back to where it stood for so long.
