Is WR Dontrelle Inman becoming odd-man-out in receiving group?

It's only offseason workouts, but registering zero catches is never a good sign for a wideout.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - If there is one indication of how a wide receiver fits into an offense, it's the number of catches he registers. Dontrelle Inman, who was signed by the New England Patriots this offseason, doesn't have a single catch through two days of minicamp and one OTA practice seen by the media. That can't be a good sign.

Doug Kyed of NESN shared catch numbers for each of the receivers through the three sessions.

N'Keal Harry, Maurice Harris, and Braxton Berrios have done their due diligence at claiming their roster spot this offseason, though Harry's spot was guaranteed anyways. Julian Edelman takes another spot, and Demaryius Thomas can take another spot once he makes a full recovery from his achilles injury. Phillip Dorsett already has a leg up on the new guys because of his experience within the offense.

We knew that there would be a lot of competition at the wideout position in 2019, which means each of the receivers would have to raise eyebrows if they wanted to be on the final 53-man roster. Inman hasn't done much to make his case for a spot on the roster.
