Raiders NFL Draft Prospect: C Jackson Powers-Johnson
The Las Vegas Raiders are going to want to strongly consider their options at the center position this offseason.
With Raiders center Andre James being a free agent, along with the lack of depth at center in general, Las Vegas might end up needing to move around their offensive line.
While guard Dylan Parham made some starts at center in James' absence this past season, it could be a luxury for the Raiders to limit change and keep him as one of their starting guards.
Fortunately for Las Vegas, there is plenty of talent at center in the 2023 NFL Draft class, starting with Jackson Powers-Johnson of Oregon.
The center position should be a priority for the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason, and Jackson Powers-Johnson of Oregon will be the best available in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Powers-Johnson capped off his college career with his best season, ultimately being named a 2023 first-team All-Pac-12 honoree. He helped lead Oregon's offense to the No. 1 passing offense in the nation (346.9 passing yards per game), the second-best overall offense (531.4 yards per game), and the second-best scoring offense (44.2 points per game).
That helped Powers-Johnson earn a spot in the 2024 Reese's Senior Bowl.
Pro Football Focus gave Powers-Johnson an overall grade of 84.3, a run-blocking grade of 85.2, a pass-blocking grade of 90.6, and a zone grade of 83.2 for the 2023 season.
Powers-Johnson played in 12 games the season before, primarily as a guard. He and the Ducks offense allowed only five sacks the entire 2022 season, which led the nation. They also finished as the nation's only offensive unit in the top 20 in both rushing and passing offense.
Powers-Johnson played in all 11 of Oregon's games as a true freshman in 2021.
From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
