It is apparent the Las Vegas Raiders need more depth at the guard position. Only two of Las Vegas' guards are currently under contract, including Dylan Parham, the only guard on the roster who has more than a year remaining on his deal.

The 2024 NFL Draft will be a great chance for the Raiders to add one or more long-term guards to their roster. If Las Vegas decides to do so late on Day 3, a solid acquisition would be that of former Texas A&M guard Layden Robinson.

Robinson recorded a vertical jump of 26.5 inches and a broad jump of 9 feet, 3 inches at the NFL Combine this year. He was given a production score of 60 from NFL Next Gen Stats for his Combine outing, ranking him 11th among all guards. He also received an athleticism score of 64, ranking him 22nd among guards, and an overall score of 65, the 19th-best score among guards.

Robinson started all nine games at right guard for the Aggies, helping lead their offense to the nation's 25th-best scoring offense at 33.3 points per game and the 30th-best passing offense at 270.8 passing yards per game. He was named to the All-SEC Second Team.

Pro Football Focus gave Robinson an overall grade of 65.8 for his 2023 campaign.

Robinson started every game at right guard the season before as well. He also started 10 games in the 2021 season and was named to PFF's All-SEC First Team. PFF gave him an overall grade of 80.7 for that season.

As a freshman in 2020, Robinson played in all 10 games for the Aggies after redshirting his 2019 campaign. He played just two games that season.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
