The offensive tackle position is going to be a key one for the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason, and one they should be placing a heavy emphasis on ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

One of the premiere offensive tackles in this year's draft class is Penn State All-American Olumuyiwa Fashanu.

Fashanu enters the draft as arguably the best offensive tackle in the Big Ten this past season. He started in 12 of the Nittany Lions' 13 games (opted out of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl), helping lead the 12th-best scoring offense in the nation (36.2 points per game). Fashanu was named to the All-Big Ten First Team by coaches and media.

Pro Football Focus gave Fashanu an 88.4 pass-blocking grade for the 2023 season.

The season before was when Fashanu really came onto the scene. He was named a Walter Camp second-team All-American, as well as a third-team All-American by Phil Steele. Fashanu also received second-team All-Big Ten honors from coaches and third-team honors from the media.

Fashanu's 2022 season was unfortunately cut short when he sustained a season-ending injury after making eight starts.

Fashanu ultimately spent four years with Penn State, playing a total of 29 games, with 21 starts.

The 6-foot-6, 317-pound tackle was rated a three-star recruit out of high school by ESPN. A native of Waldorf, Maryland, Fashanu was a three-year letterman at Gonzaga College High School, where he blocked for eventual Heisman Trophy winner and fellow NFL Draft classmate Caleb Williams.

ESPN ranked Fashanu the No. 8 prospect in the Washington D.C., area and the No. 40 offensive tackle in the nation.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
