AFC West Named NFL's Most Overrated Division

In this story:
For the past few years, the AFC West has been regarded as perhaps the best division in the conference.
Going into last season, the expectations were high as ever with the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers each having upgraded on paper, and they were anticipated to give the Kansas City Chiefs a run for their money.
That, of course, wasn't the case, and for that reason, the AFC West was deemed the most overrated division in the NFL on "NFL Total Access" on Wednesday.
NFL analyst David Carr, brother of former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, was the first to give his thoughts during the segment.
"I'm still upset about the AFC West from last year," he said. "They were supposed to be like this: 'Everyone wins 14 games type division that just, it was going to be electric.' Nothing happened. Right? It's just, the Chiefs did it again. They went out there and they dominated, and they went out and they won a championship. So for me, I think that right now, it still has to be the AFC West until they prove they can do anything. Because right now, there's some issues outside of the Chiefs. They're working through it. So, the AFC West must step their game up."
NFL Network's Steve Wyche was rather harsh and quite brief in his thoughts on the Raiders when he assessed the AFC West, saying: "The Raiders, we don't know what they're doing."
Wyche also said: "There may only be one playoff team from the AFC West this year."
While these analysts' opinions on the competition within the division are fair for the most part, the respect certainly isn't there for Las Vegas.
Sure, maybe between how it finished last season and where it stands at this point in the offseason, it doesn't deserve it.
At the end of the day, though, there's just too much talent on this roster to write the Raiders off before they've even taken the field.
Then again, the Raiders are used to having the odds stacked against them.
