Jack Jones Quickly Embraced Raiders
Young cornerback Jack Jones has only been a Las Vegas Raider for a short period of time, but he is content with where he's at and the teammates he has around him.
Just over two weeks ago, Jones took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to post the following:
"Fans telling me recruit these FA but I feel like that’s going against the guys. I believe In what we got, I don’t think we need to make any changes."
It might have been difficult to understand why Jones felt so strongly about his post, but his head coach, Antonio Pierce, who has known the 26-year-old cornerback since his high school days at Long Beach Polytechnic, knows what the team means to Jones.
"Jack is a loyal dude, man, as you guys can see," Pierce said at the NFL Combine on Feb. 28. "Loyal player, loyal human being, and he loves this group. And like I said, when he came in, first and foremost, they put their arms around him.

"We needed to love up Jack Jones; he had went through a little bit, as well, early on in his career, and he felt that love for those guys. So, as a player, with your brothers, you don't want to see them go anywhere else, and we don't either, but it's a business and you understand you're not going to be able to keep all your players because of financial situations.
"But to hear your guys, one: go to battle for coach, [two]: go to battle for one another, what does that tell you? Tight-knit group, man.
"And that's why when people ask me why I talk or do what i do is because I'm backed up by 53 dogs. 53 dudes that's ready to frickin' go to war, still, in February."
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
