Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby was just named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl this season, the second of his career.

Crosby posted career-highs in total tackles for losses and sacks this season in what was easily the best individual season of his career. He once again spoke with Amber Theoharis and Kirk Morrison on SiriusXM NFL Radio’s “Pro Bowl Live” about being a Pro Bowler.

“It’s incredible,” Crosby said. “As a player, you have certain things you want to accomplish and get to, this year it’s a little bit different. My first time getting it, finding out right before a game, every emotion hit me because I knew the work I put in to get to a Pro Bowl, but this year it’s a different feeling, but it’s incredible at the same time.”

“I work every year to try to be the best version of me, try to be the best at what I do, so getting recognized, being a starter is super important to me, and I’m just happy to be here, and be around a bunch of great players.”

Crosby got to spend another Pro Bowl in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, although the format was different this year. It is now called the Pro Bowl Games, as a real football game was not played like in years past. It was instead flag football as the league attempted to increase viewership and fan engagement during the Pro Bowl.

Crosby was one of three defensive ends in this year’s Pro Bowl for the AFC team, along with Cleveland’s Myles Garrett and Cincinnati’s Trey Hendrickson. He was one of five Raiders to be named a Pro Bowler, along with running back Josh Jacobs, wide receiver Davante Adams, punter AJ Cole, and quarterback Derek Carr, who was added as an injury replacement for Joe Burrow.

The Raiders didn’t have the season they hoped they would, but Crosby was a massive bright spot for the team, posing a threat to always get to the quarterback alongside Chandler Jones. He was rewarded with a massive contract extension last season, and it’s easy to see why. Crosby has developed into one of the league’s premier pass rushers ever since the Raiders selected him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he should be the face of the franchise for years to come.

The NFL Scouting Combine is Feb. 28-March 6, 2023, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. March 7, 2023, before 4 p.m. EST, is the club's deadline to designate Franchise or Transition Players.

During that time, starting at 12 p.m. EST on March 13 and ending at 3:59:59 p.m. EST on March 15, clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2022 Player Contracts at 4 p.m EST on March 15.

The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period begins at 4 p.m. EST on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
