The Las Vegas Raiders were not quite ready to part ways with their 2023 seventh-round draft pick that quickly.

After waiving defensive tackle Nesta Jade Silvera on Wednesday, the Raiders announced Friday that it have signed the rookie to its practice squad.

Silvera has played only two games for the Silver and Black this season and has played a total of 24 defensive snaps, posting two combined tackles.

The 23-year-old defensive tackle played one season at Arizona State after playing four at the Miami (Fla), where Silvera was named an All-ACC Honorable Mention, and in his lone season with ASU, he was an All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention selection.

The Raiders made two other roster moves a day before bringing back Silvera, signing center Hroniss Grasu to the active roster and waiving defensive end Malik Reed.

Grasu is in his second season with the Raiders, having played five games, only one of which was this season in last week's 63-21 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The veteran center was selected by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Oregon. He played two seasons with Chicago before being released in September of 2018.

Grasu was then signed by the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he played two seasons, making one start in four game appearances. He then had a one-year stint with the San Francisco 49ers before coming to Las Vegas.

Reed played in the Raiders' first four games under Interim Coach Antonio Pierce, having started against the New York Jets and the Kansas City Chiefs. He recorded a total of three combined tackles for the Raiders in those games.

The 27-year-old defensive end played the first three years of his NFL career with the Denver Broncos. He was then traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers before signing with the Miami Dolphins in free agency March.

Miami released Reed in August and he was signed by Las Vegas the following month.

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
