Raiders Offensive Line: A Closer Look

There is no doubt that the Las Vegas Raiders' offensive line gets a lack of recognition. The Raiders are entering this season as the offensive line front-loading the NFL rushing leader in Josh Jacobs.

The Raiders have four new offensive linemen trying to make the Silver and Black 53-man roster; two of them are veteran free agents.

Justin Murray is a newly signed offensive lineman who returns to the Silver Black for the first time since 2018. As an offensive lineman, he has made 20 total career starts, all with the Arizona Cardinals from 2019-21.

Greg Van Roten is also a newly signed Raider offensive lineman. He has started a career total of 54 NFL games. He recently played for the AFC East Champion Buffalo Bills. According to Pro Football Focus, he has also recorded three seasons with at least 70 plus pass blocking grade.

The Raiders have also brought in two undrafted free-agent offensive linemen, McClendon Curtis from Chattanooga and Dalton Wagner from Arkansas.

Curtis is the most significant UDFA the Raiders signed this offseason. He has had three First-Team All-SoCon selections and a second-team AP All-American selection. Pro Football Focus gave him a 90.9 pass-blocking grade from the 2022 college football season.

Wagner played 53 games at the University of Arkansas and started 40. The 6-foot-8, 320-pounder is a two-time All-SEC selection.

The Raiders also have 12 linemen returning for the Silver and Black this upcoming season. Last season, the Raiders' offensive unit consisted of tackles Kolton Miller and Jermaine Eluemunor, along with guards Alex Bars and Dylan Parham and Andre James as the center.

Miller has been showing the league he can compete as one of the best offensive left tackles in the NFL. At his position, he finished the 2022-23 NFL season with the fifth-highest Pro Football Focus left tackle grade.

Eluemunor also is coming off one of his best NFL seasons. He played in all 17 games last season at correct tackle, left tackle, and right guard. The Raiders resigned him this offseason as he will continue to be the Raiders starting right tackle.

James is entering his third season at center, where he took over from former Pro Bowler Rodney Hudson. The undrafted UCLA Bruin has earned his opportunity to be a starting center for the Silver and Black. He is also the Raiders' longest-tenured offensive lineman on the roster.

Bars signed with the Raiders during the 2022 NFL offseason. He played three seasons with the Chicago Bears and emerged as a starter for the Raiders after beginning last season on the practice squad.

Parham is entering his sophomore season with the Silver and Black this season. He played all 17 games and was selected to the 2022 Professional Football Writer's Association All-Rookie Team.
