Dana White Shares Thoughts on NFL With Crosby

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby is a well-known UFC fan.

Crosby often attends UFC fights and talks about match-ups on his podcast, "The Rush with Maxx Crosby."

In addition, Crosby has become close friends with UFC president Dana White as he ventures into the business side of football.

Crosby recently hosted White on the latest episode of his podcast to discuss the NFL, UFC and recall stories. They also discussed their successes in depth and how they reached their current levels.

White knows what it’s like to be criticized and knows NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is heavily criticized yearly.

One of Crosby’s co-hosts, former NFL quarterback and his Eastern Michigan teammate Brogan Roback, suggested the possibility of White becoming the commissioner of the NFL.

White joked that the NFL is doing fine without him but acknowledged what Goodell has to deal with regularly being in the public eye.

“There’s always going to be critics and criticism of anybody who’s out there in the public and making decisions that people love and people don’t like,” White said. “It’s just always going to be that way. In no way, shape, or form do I want to take on running the NFL or any of those things. I live in my own little world here; I do it my way. I don’t have to answer to anybody; I can do what I want to do. I wouldn’t change one thing.

"I’m happy where I’m at; I have no aspirations of going to the NFL, Major League Baseball, the NHL, or anywhere else. I don’t criticize any of those guys and how they run their business. The NFL is doing pretty well. They’re doing OK.”

White has been open about his opinions on Goodell and how difficult of a job he has. White previously called Goodell underpaid for having the "worst job in sports."

Goodell has been the commissioner of the NFL since 2006, and has agreed to a contract extension in October that will keep him on as commissioner through 2027.

Crosby and White have grown close recently. As Crosby continues to venture into the business side of football, it is beneficial for him to have White in his corner.
