NFL teams can benefit a lot from bringing in a player from a winning college program. To have a player from two different successful programs is a bonus, and it's becoming more common this day and age with the transfer portal.

One of the prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class who falls under such a select category is former Georgia and Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton, a great second-round option if the Las Vegas Raiders are to have one.

In his four college seasons, Burton went to two College Football Playoffs: one with the Bulldogs when they won the national title for the 2021 season, and one this past season with the Crimson Tide.

Burton made seven starts while playing in all 10 games for Georgia in his freshman season. The following season, he started eight games in 14 appearances, ultimately recording 497 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns, including one against Michigan in the Capital One Orange Bowl. He and the Bulldogs would go on to win the National Championship over Alabama.

Burton would transfer to Alabama after defeating them in the title game and once again became a key part of one of the top offenses in not only the SEC, but all of football.

In his first season with the Crimson Tide, Burton had the luxury of catching passes from the Heisman Trophy winner, quarterback Bryce Young. The young wideout would lead the team in receiving yards with 677 while making seven receiving touchdowns as he started in 12 of 13 games.

In his final college season, Burton ended up with a career-best and team-best 798 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns. He also led the SEC in receiving yards per catch at 20.5.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
