The Las Vegas Raiders will go on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and try to reverse what has seemed to become a regular occurrence against the Chiefs.

The Raiders have blown double-digit leads to Kansas City the last three times the teams have played.

Interim Coach Antonio Pierce points to the Chiefs' ability to score at the end of the first half as an area of focus for his team on Monday.

“They are one of the best teams at the end of the second quarter," Pierce said. "And it's happened to us in three games now that they've found a way to get the ball, and then no matter if it's 10 seconds, 30 seconds, two minutes, three minutes, they're going to score. And that's our job as coaches to play with these guys and have calls to put us in a position to not allow that to happen.

"And then when we're in that position, we need to make the plays. They are one of the best teams in the fourth quarter. I mean, that's why they’re world champions.

"Let’s keep it a matter of fact; that's why there have been one of the best teams in this division and in the National Football League for X amount of years now. Everybody has to be doubted."

Pierce and the Raiders aim to play well against the Chiefs for an entire game against their division rival.

"I mean, to beat the world champions, you have to be at your best, and you got to do a little bit more," Pierce said. "And that's not going above Xs and Os; it's not doing anything out of the ordinary.

"It's reading your keys, and a little anticipation will come into play, but more importantly, the group together, I feel, for us as Raiders, to make up our minds to say enough is enough.

"I mean, if you can do it in the first quarter, which we've done in two out of three games being up, 17-0 and 14-0, we have to strain as coaches and players to do that for 60 minutes. And it's really important in the second quarter and in the fourth quarter.”

The Raiders need many things to go their way to make the playoffs. Going on the road and beating Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs would impact the Raiders mightily.

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
