In this story:

Las Vegas Raiders Interim Offensive Coordinator Bo Hardegree has a complete game as the team's offensive play-caller.

It's safe to say, after a 30-6 victory over the New York Giants in what was the Silver and Black's best offensive outing of the season, Hardegree did his job well.

Part of what made the former quarterbacks coach's game plan successful was his willingness to listen to his players.

"I just want them to feel confident and comfortable, and ... I went into everybody's rooms kind of when we hit the ground running in those first couple meetings and just let them know me and then get some feedback from them," Hardegree said in his press conference on Tuesday. "Even during the game, I'm telling them kind of what's coming up, what I'm thinking, what are they seeing, which is important. They're the guys out there.

"I'm calling the plays and I want to call plays that they feel confident about, and if there's something that I really want to get out there to them, I'll let them know it's coming. And it's just constant communication with those guys."

Hardegree introduced this approach last Friday in what was his first press conference in his new role.

"I just want to give these guys the ability to go out and be confident and execute the offense," Hardegree said. "Because it is; it's about the players. It's about the confidence they have in the game plan and in themselves and just go there and let them do their thing."

Hardegree had never been an offensive coordinator before. It's new territory for him, but with his modesty and experience as a college quarterback, he has been able to build a philosophy he can rely on and one that his players can trust.

The second-year Raiders coach played quarterback at the University of Tennessee.

The Silver and Black will remain at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to take on the New York Jets on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 8:20 p.m. EST/5:20 p.m. PST.
