Hardegree's Move to the Booth Beneficial

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders searched for answers after their zero-point performance against the Minnesota Vikings.
Interim Coach Antonio Pierce and Interim Offensive Coordinator Bo Hardegree left no stone unturned to get a different result, a 63-21 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
One of those changes was Hardegree moving up to the booth instead of calling plays on the field. Defensive coordinator Patrick Graham made the same move earlier this season that seemed to benefit the team.
Hardegree spoke about the noticeable differences in calling plays from the booth.
"The differences, obviously, is you can see the whole field," Hardegree said. "You can really see it pretty quickly, so you get instant feedback, which is important as a play-caller. And that was an advantage for sure. Communication was quicker, I thought.
"And so, it was a different vantage point for sure, because you're just sitting in a box, kind of soundproof, so it was definitely a change, and it was positive for us."
While there were many differences, Hardegree says he doesn't prefer one over the other and that the players, not his move to the booth, were the biggest reason for the team's turnaround in such a short amount of time.
"No, I mean, it's good to be a first-time play-caller and get both opportunities as you grow to kind of basically take them and kind of weigh the differences," Hardegree said. "So, obviously, this opportunity worked out pretty well.
"I'd say all the above, maybe. Obviously, I'm always going to give the players the credit. I mean, they executed the plays, and they never looked back, and we didn't take our foot off the pedal."
The Raiders have continued looking within to see where they can improve on and off the field. It has led to immediate results for Las Vegas' offense.
The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
