Raiders Under Contract: CB Brandon Facyson

In this story:
This season was far from ideal for Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Brandon Facyson, who spent much of it on the Injured Reserve List.
Facyson was a big part of Las Vegas' road to the 2021-22 postseason, when he made a career-high nine starts in 12 games for the Silver and Black.
After losing the veteran to the Indianapolis Colts in free agency that offseason, the Raiders had a chance to bring Facyson back last March, and that they did.
Las Vegas signed Facyson to a two-year, $6.5-million contract, with hopes of getting the same talent they had known from his career-best 2021 season.
Unfortunately, Facyson sustained a shin injury in Training Camp that would put him on the Injured Reserve List. He remained on the list until early December and would be cleared to play the final three games of the season. Even then, his snaps were very limited.
Facyson's 2023 season was only one of the many cases that have proven how unforgiving the NFL can be. Now, the 27-year-old cornerback will have even more pressure to prove his worth in 2024, and that is if he can stay healthy.
At the same time, the six-year pro is not getting any younger, and that 2021 season is getting further and further away in the rear-view mirror.
Facyson was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech in 2018. He played three seasons with the Chargers before his first season in Las Vegas. The veteran has recorded 148 combined tackles, four for losses, 20 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and an interception in his career.
From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
