Raiders vs Bills: Matchup Breakdowns

There are many games this season in which the Raiders will face talented wide receivers and secondaries. One of those games is Week 2 when the Raiders travel to Highmark Stadium to take on the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills have a very talented offense, led by quarterback Josh Allen, who is entering his sixth NFL season as the starter. In his career, Allen has played the Raiders only once. The last time the teams played was in 2020, when Allen finished the game by passing for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

Allen and the Bills also have a very talented wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, giving them one of the best duos in the NFL. According to Statmuse.com, Diggs has played in three games against the Raiders. in which he has 11 catches for 176 yards.

The Raiders also will face a very talented Bills secondary led by veteran cornerback Tre'davious White and safety Jordan Poyer. Both of these players are talented at their position. Watching how wide receiver Davante Adams will compete against the Bills' talented secondary will be very interesting.

The last time Adams played against White and the Bills was in 2018. Adams finished the game with eight receptions for 81 yards, while White finished with five tackles. This will be Adams' third time playing the Bills in his career, and he has nine catches for 87 yards in those games.

The last time the Raiders played on the Bills' home turf was Oct. 29, 2017, when the Bills won the game 30-23. The most recent match-up between the two teams was during the inaugural season of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020. The Bills finished the game with a win over the Raiders, 30-23, in Allegiant Stadium.

The Raiders and Bills are set to kick off Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. PDT.
