The Las Vegas Raiders will have a Christmas Day game this season when they take on the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

It will be the team's first game on Christmas Day since 2018 when it faced the Philadelphia Eagles, who were, ironically, the reigning Super Bowl champions at the time.

The Raiders were beaten, 19-10.

The Silver and Black, who were still in Oakland at the time, fell behind, 7-0, late in the first quarter when Super Bowl LVII MVP Nick Foles threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to running back Jay Ajayi.

The Raiders quickly responded on their first possession of the second quarter when quarterback Derek Carr found wide receiver Amari Cooper for a 63-yard touchdown in just three plays.

The game was tied, 7-7, with just over 12 and a half minutes to go in the first half.

Neither team would be able to add more to the scoreboard for the rest of the half.

But the Raiders would take the lead with a 25-yard field goal on the first drive of the second half, thanks to a combined 64-yard drive from former Raider running backs Marshawn Lynch and Jalen Richard.

Their edge would hold for most of the third quarter until the Eagles evened the score with a field goal of their own with a bit over two minutes remaining in the quarter.

Both clubs battled for the majority of the fourth quarter before Philadelphia cornerback Ronald Darby intercepted a pass from Carr with 57 seconds remaining in the game.

The Eagles then marched 32 yards to Oakland's 31-yard line, setting up a 48-yard field goal.

The Raiders had one last chance to either tie or take the lead, and they nearly did so.

But a lateral attempt with three seconds remaining would result in a fumble and recovery by Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett, who took it back to the house to solidify Philadelphia's victory.
