Tight end Darren Waller prepares for a new chapter in his NFL career following the trade agreement between the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants that sent Waller to what will be his third home in the NFL.

Waller's time with the Raiders was a special point in the veteran's life. The former Pro Bowler's career was reborn after his substance abuse complications during the early stage of his career while with the Baltimore Ravens.

"It's a lot of positive emotions, a lot of gratitude," Waller said in his introductory press conference with the Giants on Wednesday. "Getting a clean slate with the Raiders was amazing for me. Moving to Vegas and setting up roots there and just getting involved with the community, making friends outside of football and just great people inside the game of football, it's been a great place and will continue to be home for me and my wife.

"So [I am] grateful for my time spent there. Grateful for everything that they've ever done for me, supporting me and my causes, my foundation, my interests. So just grateful. I focus on that as I move forward, and now, I'm grateful to be here."

Waller had two seasons with a 1,000-plus receiving yards as a Raider and exits with the franchise record in receptions in a single season (107).
