Waller Gifts Military Veteran a Super Bowl Experience

In this story:
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller has teamed up with USAA and the First Marine Division Association to send a deserving veteran to the Super Bowl next weekend in Glendale, Ariz.
Waller, who has made an impact off the field working with veterans, homelessness, and drug and substance abuse, has now taken a bigger step forward in the veteran community.
He has teamed up with veteran organizations to send a lifelong Raiders fan, Major Barron Mills, to the Super Bowl.
“Giving back to our military community and Raider Nation are two of my biggest passions,” Waller said. “After 20 years of honorable service to our country and supporting the Raiders even longer, it’s my pleasure to send Major Barron Mills to the Super Bowl with the help of USAA and the First Marine Division Association. I’m looking forward to meeting him Super Bowl weekend.”
Major Mills served as an Infantry Officer for 20 years (1996-2016) in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has had numerous duty assignments, deployments, and operations in Haiti, Cuba, Guantanamo Bay, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
The highly decorated veteran has earned various awards and prestigious medals, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and two Combat Action Ribbons.
Since retiring from the military, Major Mills moved to Oviedo, Fla., and is active in many veterans' service organizations.
Major Mills currently serves as Vice President of the Central Florida Chapter of the First Marine Division Association.
