Bar is Set Low for Adams’ Receiving-Yard Total

In this story:
All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams proved doubters wrong and had one of the best seasons of his career in his first year as a Las Vegas Raider.
Adams' 1,516 receiving yards were the second-most of his NFL career, trailing only his 1,553 receiving-yard mark from the season before.
Yet again as a new season approaches, however, not everyone's expectations for the elite receiver are as high.
In an article by Judah Fortgang of Pro Football Focus, the writer detailed what the best future bets were for over/under receiving-yard totals for some of the game's best wideouts that have been set by various sportsbooks for this season.
For Adams, the bar was set rather low, as Caesars Sportsbook has the mark at 1,325.5 receiving yards.
Fortgang dubbed the bet as one of the best to take at the under.
Here was part of the analyst's explanation:
"The star wideout spent most of last year as the lone healthy target, but this year the team has Hunter Renfrow at full health, and they also signed Jakobi Meyers — who has commanded a 25% target share during his career — to a huge deal this offseason.
"There will be more mouths to feed for Vegas this year. Adding to volume concerns, the team shifted to an extremely run-heavy approach in the second half of 2022, running 5% above expected as the team leaned on Josh Jacobs in the run game.
"Perhaps the biggest change for Adams is that the team moved on from Derek Carr and downgraded to Jimmy Garoppolo, whose health is in question coming off another offseason foot surgery. The team's backup is journeyman Brian Hoyer.
"Adams will likely still produce, but as he ages within a run-heavy, Garoppolo-led offense that has more mouths to feed than last year, I see value in taking the under of a huge receiving yards total."
Adams has not recorded fewer than 1,325 receiving yards since the 2019 season, the only time he's done so in the last five years. Even then, he played in only 12 games.
The veteran receiver also reached last year's total despite having five games in which he posted 36 or fewer receiving yards.
