Davante Adams' 'Madden NFL 24' Rating Revealed

In this story:
Each year, shortly before the ‘Madden NFL’ video game is released, the player's overall ratings are released.
These ratings are often met with outrage and debate from fans who feel their favorite team or player did not receive a high enough rating.
This week is Madden Ratings Week, where different position groups’ ratings will be revealed throughout the coming days.
On Monday, the first batch of ratings were released, including wide receivers and safeties. While there were no Las Vegas Raiders safeties in the top 20, star wide receiver Davante Adams earned a 97 overall rating, the third-highest of all receivers.
The two receivers ranked ahead of Adams were Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, who earned a 99 overall rating, a player's highest possible rating, and Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, who earned a 98.
In last year’s video game, Adams received a 99 overall rating. Despite catching 100 passes for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns and being named to First-Team All-Pro, Adams saw his Madden rating drop two points in this year’s game.
This is the first time since ‘Madden NFL 21’ was released that Adams will not be rated as a 99 overall player.
While Madden ratings are not always indicative of how talented a player truly is, they are instead compiled of different data points and statistics. Players hope to have the highest rating possible. These ratings also fluctuate throughout the season.
While his rating might be lower this year than in previous years, it still indicates that Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and should be rated as one of the best overall players.
On Tuesday, edge rusher ratings are expected to be released, and Maxx Crosby should find himself near the top of the list. Running back ratings are the following day and the same should go for Josh Jacobs.
The Raiders’ top players should find themselves with high ratings in the newest ‘Madden NFL video game, as Adams already has. ‘Madden NFL 24’ will be released on August 15, 2023.
The Las Vegas Raiders open training camp for the entire team on July 25, 2023.
The Silver and Black open the preseason by hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. PDT.
