Raiders Jakobi Meyers Has Great Numbers Against Lions

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has great numbers against the Detroit Lions.

There is no doubt that this offseason, Las Vegas Raiders General Manager Dave Ziegler nailed the hammer by signing wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.

Meyers has been having an excellent season for the Silver and Black, with 37 receptions for 385 yards and five touchdowns.

This Monday night will be the second time in his career that Meyers will go against the Detroit Lions.

Meyers's first career game against the Lions was during last year's 2022-23 NFL regular season, when he was with the New England Patriots. Meyers finished the game with seven receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Last week against the Chicago Bears, Meyers had seven receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. He was the only touchdown scorer for the Silver and Black offense in the 30-12 loss to the Bears.

According to Pro Football Focus, Meyers is listed 13th among all wide receivers in targets. He also is tied for 15th among all wide receivers in receptions, is 26th in receiving yards and is tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns this season.

With one receiving touchdown against the Lions on Monday night, Meyers would become one of only 14 players in Raiders history since Michael Crabtree in 2017 to record six-plus receiving touchdowns in his first seven games of a season. 

Meyers's stat of five receiving touchdowns this season leads all Lions wide receivers and tight ends. Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta and Josh Reynolds are all tied with three touchdowns this season.

The Raiders are 2-4 on the road against the Lions, and a win would improve the Raiders' record to 7-17 all-time against the NFC North.

Be on the lookout for Meyers this Monday night, as he will go head-to-head for the second time in his career against the Lions.
