Raiders Play in Detroit for the First Time Since 2015

The Las Vegas Raiders play in Ford Field for the first time since the 2015 NFL season.

The Las Vegas Raiders face off against the entire NFC North Division this season. The Raiders will host the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and travel to Chicago and Detroit to play the Bears and the Lions on their home field for the first time since 2015.

The Raiders and Lions met on Nov. 22 in Week 10 of the 2015 NFL season. The Lions won the game, 18-13.

According to Statmuse.com, The Raiders have a record of 7-6 against the Lions and are looking to extend their record against them this season.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw 13 completions on 25 attempts in that 2015 game. He finished the game throwing for 169 yards with a QB rating 73.6. Former Lions quarterback, Matthew Stafford, threw 22 completions on 33 for 282 yards and finished with a QB rating of 88.0. The Raiders defense sacked Stafford four times.

This game ended up being a heavily fought defensive battle. Raiders running back Latavius Murray rushed for only 28 yards on a 13 rushing and was the only player who scored a touchdown for the Raiders.

Lions running back Ameer Abdullah, now with on the Raiders, rushed for 44 yards on 13 carries. Stafford was the only player who scored for the Lions during this game. He rushed for 31 yards and had a rushing touchdown.

This season, the two franchises face off against each other on prime-time Monday Night Football at Ford Field. This will be one of the five prime-time games the Raiders will have this season.

The teams will meet in Week 8 on Halloween Eve, Monday, Oct. 30, at 5:30 PST.

The Silver and Black open the preseason by hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. PDT.
