Raiders Lend Support to Tight End Foster Moreau

The Las Vegas Raiders community is hurting for a player who has been one of their own for four seasons.
Free-agent tight end Foster Moreau announced on Wednesday that he would be stepping away from football after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
We reported the news on Wednesday, detailing the illness and the tight end's announcement on Twitter.
Many within the organization have given their support as Moreau begins what will be a very trying time.
The Raiders released the following message from Coach Josh McDaniels and General Manager Dave Ziegler on Thursday:
"Foster is a tremendous person on and off the football field, and our immediate thoughts and concerns are with him as he begins to battle this new opponent. We know that the Raiders Family, teammates, coaches, staff, and the entire Raider Nation will come together to support Foster and his family through this challenge, and we're confident that he will get back to doing what he loves most soon."

Teammates of Moreau also gave words of encouragement via Twitter.

Moreau has played all four of his NFL seasons with the Silver and Black, having been selected by the franchise in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has totaled 1,107 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in that time.
Last season was Moreau's best yet, as the tight end recorded 420 receiving yards in 15 games, 14 of which he started.
The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.
The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this offseason.
