Raiders to Host Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Event

The Las Vegas Raiders are partnering with Intermountain Health to bring together a group of Southern Nevada community partners to address mental health and suicide prevention in the Black community while honoring Black History Month.

“Breaking the Stigma” is the event's name on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at 4 pm in the Raiders Headquarters and Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center.

The event will honor the resilience and strength of the Black community while educating people on the importance of mental health resources.

The event will include Raiders players, Alumni, Raiderettes, executives, executives, and mental health specialists from Intermountain Health.

Intermountain Health will greet and mingle with guests in attendance and participate in assembling personalized “Find Your Anchor Boxes” designed to inspire, soothe and offer support to those who need it.

The Raiders contingent will also participate in a panel discussion to offer support for promoting mental health and suicide prevention and awareness.

This event brings together two organizations that share a joint commitment to the community and are involved in programs that improve community engagement and better health outcomes.

The NFL Scouting Combine is Feb. 28-March 6, 2023, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. March 7, 2023, before 4 p.m. EST, is the club's deadline to designate Franchise or Transition Players.

March 13-15 is the free agent negotiation period. Starting at 12 p.m. EDT on March 13 and ending at 3:59:59 p.m. EDT on March 15, clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2022 Player Contracts at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.

The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period begins at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
