Las Vegas Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels has received a bad rap for his 17-28 overall record as a head coach, including his 6-11 finish to his first campaign as the Raiders' Coach.

Whether the criticism is fair or not, there's no doubt that McDaniels does have players and executives in his corner.

Nothing says more about a coach than a player who chooses them, which was the case for new Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who played three years in McDaniels' offense while with the New England Patriots.

"I feel like Josh, a lot of people might take Josh differently, but I think Josh is a guy who pretty much gives you the answers to the test," Myers said when he virtually joined NFL Total Access on Monday. "It's just up to you if you want to use them or not. So from the moment I stepped into the league, he always pushed me. Always, like I said, gave me the answers. I kind of had moments where I took the answers, and then, I had moments where I finally bought in, and it all worked out. So it was kind of an easy decision for me to go back to that and just know I was going to get better every day when I got here, so I'm happy I chose [the Raiders]."

Meyers recorded 2,758 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in four seasons with the Patriots. He comes off back-to-back 800-plus-yard receiving seasons, including a career-best six touchdowns in the 2022 season.

Meyers was signed by the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent in March. He and McDaniels will have a reunion with New England at Allegiant Stadium when the Raiders host the Patriots in Week 6, a rematch of last season's Week 15 showdown in which Las Vegas came away victorious off a New England late-game turnover -- which Meyers happened to be a part of.

The Raiders' offseason workout schedule is as follows:

OTA Offseason workouts: May 22-23, May 25, May 31-June 2, June 12-15

Mandatory Minicamp: June 6-8
