The Las Vegas Raiders returned another piece to their defense on Wednesday.

The team is re-signing defensive tackle Jerry Tillery, reported Jordan Schultz of theScore.

After the Los Angeles Chargers waived him, Tillery spent eight games with the Raiders last season. He made four starts with the Silver and Black, registering ten tackles and two quarterback hits.

Tillery spent three-plus seasons with the Chargers, who drafted him as the 28th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

While with the Chargers, Tillery totaled 106 tackles, 12 tackles for losses, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 54 games. He recorded 17 tackles and two sacks in his rookie season, making three starts in 15 appearances.

Tillery made 11 starts the following season while appearing in all 16 games. He finished the campaign with 30 tackles, three tackles for losses, three sacks, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Tillery's best season came the next year when he posted a career-high 51 tackles, six tackles for losses and 4.5 sacks in 16 games (15 starts).

In his fourth season in the league, Tillery tallied 18 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.

The 26-year-old defensive tackle registered eight tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in seven games for Los Angeles last season before he was waived.

The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo.

The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period begins at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
