All experience is a good experience.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo knows both sides of being on a winning team: leading it and observing from the sidelines.

Between his experience in both cases, Garoppolo is fortunate to know many of the opponents he will be facing in the 2023-24 season, as the veteran quarterback has seen them in both postseason and high-stakes regular season showdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs

Perhaps the most notable opponents on the Raiders' schedule who Garoppolo is familiar with are the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Garoppolo faced Kansas City in Super Bowl LIV when the Chiefs won, 31-20, to attain their third title in franchise history.

The then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback threw for 219 yards and a touchdown in the losing effort, but it would conclude what was an epic postseason run for the historic franchise.

Garoppolo had also watched his New England Patriots defeat Kansas City as a backup quarterback when the Pats sent the Chiefs packing in the divisional round of the 2015-16 playoffs.

Green Bay Packers

This Green Bay Packers will be much different from the roster Garoppolo has faced in the postseason in past years, but he knows what it takes to defeat the iconic franchise from Wisconsin.

As the quarterback of the 49ers, Garoppolo had to go through the Packers in two straight playoff runs. And he did just that.

In the 2019-20 postseason, he and San Francisco conquered Green Bay in the NFC title game to clinch their spot in the Super Bowl. Garoppolo totaled only 77 passing yards in that game, while 49ers running back Raheem Mostert led the offense with a 220-yard, four-touchdown rushing performance.

The following year, Garoppolo would throw for 131 yards as he led San Francisco to a victory over Green Bay in the divisional round. Then they ran into the Los Angeles Rams, who came away victorious to move on to the Super Bowl and win the title.

Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings were the first team on Garoppolo's agenda in his first playoff game as a starter.

But Minnesota was no problem for the then-up-and-comer as he and the 49ers handled the Vikings 27-10.

New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills

As the backup quarterback of the Patriots, Garoppolo saw these AFC East rivals several times throughout his three years in New England.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos were a powerhouse in the 2015 season when the Patriots went up against them in the AFC championship game.

Again, Garoppolo was a backup and did not take the field, but the quarterback could take in what it looked like to compete against a championship team, as the Broncos went on to win Super Bowl 50.

Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts were the final team the Patriots had to get through to return to the Super Bowl in the 2014-15 postseason.

New England demolished Indianapolis, 45-7, and Garoppolo would go on to get his first taste of the Super Bowl.

The Raiders' offseason workout schedule is as follows:

OTA Offseason workouts: May 22-23, May 25, May 31-June 2, June 12-15

Mandatory Minicamp: June 6-8
