Rob Gronkowski Believes Garoppolo is 'Great Fit' in LV

In this story:
When it was revealed the Las Vegas Raiders would be moving on from their long-time franchise quarterback, Derek Carr, fans had high hopes of bringing in an elite quarterback to fill the role.
The Raiders, of course, ended up landing former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. While he has a history of winning, he doesn't have the Pro Bowls and individual accolades fans aspired to.
However, to Garoppolo's former New England Patriot teammate Rob Gronkowski, the addition still works.
"100 percent, I think it's a great fit," Gronkowski said on "Up and Adams" with Kay Adams. "Especially for the money that they got him. It's not like they're paying him top dollar. So then, you can put the product around him, like Davante Adams, and they brought in the tight end Michael Mayer from Notre Dame with the second-round pick. I think he's a great addition to that offense as well. And then they got the running back as well.
"So they just need a quarterback, I would say, who knows how to run the system. They don't need a first-team All-Pro quarterback, they just need a guy who knows how to operate. And that's what Jimmy G can do. He knows how to operate, he'll get the ball down the field, and he'll do what the coaches tell him to do. So he's going to also place the ball in the hands of Davante Adams as much as possible. So I think it's a good fit, especially for the money that they got him for compared to what these other quarterbacks are getting paid."

Gronkowski and Garoppolo were teammates for three seasons in New England, where they won two Super Bowl titles together. They never connected for a reception, however.
Both players played under Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels, who was New England's offensive coordinator for 13 years.
The Raiders' offseason workout schedule is as follows:
OTA Offseason workouts: May 22-23, May 25, May 31-June 2, June 12-15
Mandatory Minicamp: June 6-8
