What's the Latest on Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders?

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders have yet to settle on a new deal with the NFL's defending rushing champion, Josh Jacobs, on whom the club placed its franchise tag last month.
As a result, the All-Pro running back did not attend Phase 1 of the Raiders' offseason program.
Raiders General Manager Dave Ziegler addressed the situation when he spoke to the media on Friday.
"[Jacobs] hasn't signed the tender yet so obviously, he's not allowed by NFL rules to be here for the this portion of the offseason program," Ziegler said. "But we're going to continue to work through that situation. And as I've mentioned before, I'm not going to really do the contract negotiation and those types of things in the public eye. I just don't think that's responsible to do, or fair to do, for any of the parties involved. And so, we'll just keep working through that process and see where it goes."
Jacobs recorded a career-best 1,653 rushing yards with 12 touchdowns last season. He added 400 receiving yards, ultimately leading the league with 2,053 yards from scrimmage.
Jacobs is gearing up for his fifth season in the league, having been drafted by the Silver and Black in the 2019 NFL Draft.
