Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had the best season a Raider running back has had in a long time.

Jacobs arguably was the NFL’s best running back in 2022, finishing the season as the league's leading rusher with 1,653 yards while leading the league in rushing yards per game at 97.2.

As impressive as all that is, there is one unique stat from Jacobs’ career season you might not have known.

On Friday, Pro Football Focus revealed a key stat for every one of its top-25 free agents for the 2023 offseason.

Jacobs, whom PFF has at No. 12 on its list, broke PFF’s single-season record for missed tackles forced on runs with 90. Marshawn Lynch, who also played for the Raiders, was one of the toughest running backs ever to bring down; he previously held the record from the 2014 season.

Lynch spent two of his 12 seasons as a member of the Silver and Black. He totaled 1,267 rushing yards and ten touchdowns in Oakland before returning to Seattle for his final season.

Jacobs was named to his first career All-Pro first team and his second Pro Bowl for his spectacular season.
