Thursday night's prime-time AFC West rivalry game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders will be the second and final time the teams will go head-to-head in 2023.

The Chargers got the better of the Raiders the last time these two teams met, as the Bolts claimed a 24-17 victory over the Silver and Black.

Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell started and played in his first-ever NFL regular season game against the Chargers, completing 24-of-34 passes for 238 yards and one interception.

The Chargers' backup quarterback, Easton Stick, will be the starter, as Justin Herbert started the last time the Raiders played the Chargers, but is out for the season after breaking his right index finger. 

In the last game between these teams, Herbert completed 13-of-24 passes for 167 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is known for playing well against the Chargers, and in the last game he finished with 58 yards rushing on 17 carries and one touchdown. 

Jacobs also was the Raiders' leading receiver with eight receptions for 81 yards.

Jacobs has 148 carries for 643 yards and six touchdowns in eight games against the Chargers.

Conversely, Chargers starting running back Austin Ekeler did not play in the lastgame. Chargers backup running back Joshua Kelley finished with 65 yards on 17 carries.

Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams made eight receptions for 75 yards in the last game against the Bolts, and has 33 catches for 434 yards and three touchdowns in four games against the Chargers in his career.

Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen finished the game with three receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown, and has 106 catches for 1,178 yards and eight touchdowns in 18 games against the Raiders in his career.

The Raiders look to extend their all-time series lead to 67-58-2 with a victory over the Chargers on Thursday night.

The Silver and Black will turn around quickly and host their AFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers, on Thursday, December 14, at 8:15 p.m. EST/5:15 p.m. PST.
