In this story:

The Las Vegas Raiders could not come away as the victors of their 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, a defeat that stung the Raiders' locker room afterward.

But it can't sting for long because Las Vegas has to immediately turn its focus towards its division rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers, as the teams play on Thursday Night Football.

For the Raiders to get back in the win column, they have to put Sunday's loss behind them as soon as possible.

"It's not going to be hard to motivate them," Raiders Interim Coach Antonio Pierce said when he addressed the media after Sunday's game. "Short-term memory. I told them what we would do: win, lose, or draw, we will be in the office tomorrow as coaches bright and early.

"Players will be in there right afterward, and we're moving on to the Chargers. This one, you've got to have a short-term memory. You've got a divisional opponent coming in here at home."

The Raiders have benefited from having longer weeks to prepare throughout this season, with a couple of Monday night games and a bye week recently. This week will be new territory regarding preparation.

It will be mainly challenging given the point of the season they are at, considering the toll this season has taken on the team, particularly in the injury department.

Las Vegas had four players leave Sunday's game due to injury.

While the Raiders have played in plenty of prime-time games so far this season, this will be their first on Thursday Night Football. It will be an opportunity to split the season series with Los Angeles and earn their second division victory, the first way back in their season opener against the Denver Broncos.

The Raiders and Chargers last met in Week 4 when Los Angeles won,  24-17, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

The Silver and Black will turn around quickly and host their AFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers, on Thursday, December 14, at 8:15 p.m. EST/5:15 p.m. PST.
