AFC West Week 13 Preview: Fifth Prime-Time Game for KC

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders won't be taking the field this week, but there will be plenty of action to tune into around the AFC West.
Here's what to watch for from the division this week:
Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots
The Chargers are facing one of the worst teams in football at the right time, as Los Angeles looks to put an end to a three-game losing streak.
The Chargers come off a 20-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football, a game in which they turned the ball over four times. Los Angeles also allowed 197 yards on the ground.
The Chargers are last in the NFL in total defense. The one area of their game they can rely on as a strength is their passing game, as they rank 10th in the league.
That could serve them well against a New England team that is in the middle of the pack in the NFL in passing defense.
Denver Broncos at Houston Texans
This will be a battle of two 6-5 teams, so one will fall back to .500 by the end of Sunday, while the other will continue to make its unlikely climb toward the postseason.
The Broncos have won five in a row, their most recent victory a 29-12 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Denver is not dominating in any particular category, it's simply been playing winning football.
The team's biggest challenge on Sunday will be limiting Houston's passing game, an area they rank second in the league in, largely due to rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, whose name has even been mentioned in the MVP conversation.
This will be a crucial showdown for both teams, as well as their respective divisions.
Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers
Coming off their 31-17 victory over the Raiders, the Chiefs will be looking to extend their lead on the AFC West with at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The Packers are riding the momentum of a Thanksgiving victory over the NFC North leaders, the Detroit Lions.
Green Bay has held its own against the pass this season, ranking top-10 in passing defense. And even in allowing 324 passing yards against a formidable Lions offense, the Packers were able to come away with the win on the road.
Green Bay might be below .500, but the Packers can be frisky. Don't be surprised if we see an upset over the reigning Super Bowl champions on Sunday.
The Silver and Black will return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, December 10, at 4:05 p.m. EST/1:05 p.m. PST.
