Raiders Hosted Edge Rusher M.J. Anderson For Top-30 Visit

The Las Vegas Raiders met with another defensive prospect recently.

The club hosted Iowa State edge rusher M.J. Anderson for a Top-30 visit, according to a report from national NFL reporter Arye Pulli on Friday.

Anderson started only five games among his 12 appearances last season, but his numbers were nothing to be ignored. The prospect recorded 37 tackles, nine for losses, 3.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery.

That was Anderson's only season with the Cyclones, as he had transferred to the program after two active seasons at Minnesota.

He redshirted his first season (2019) before taking the field for the Golden Gophers in 2020. Anderson played five games and made only one tackle.

The following season, Anderson tallied seven tackles, one for a loss, a sack, and two pass breakups.

The Raiders are tied with the Houston Texans for the most picks in this year's draft with 12.

The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.
